It can be ANYTHING; a comic book character, a creature from science-fiction, a mythological hero, a character from the tarot deck, a corporate spokesperson (i.e. Ronald Mc Donald, etc.).

The only limitations are the ones you place on your own imagination!

But, choose wisely.

This is NOT a joke. You can pray to your patron deity and stuff and it'll aid you in your time of need! It's called invocation and it's similar to the Catholic notion of picking a patron saint when you're confirmed. Whether it is psychological, magickal or a combination of the two isn't what's important.
